IT Support
Job Summary:
The IT Support specialist is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of all clinic information technology systems, with a primary focus on the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, hardware, network, and telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance & Support: Provide first-line technical support to all clinic staff for hardware (computers, printers, scanners), software (EMR, MS Office), and network issues.
- EMR Management: Serve as the primary administrator for the EMR/Practice Management system. Manage user accounts, permissions, and troubleshoot application errors. Train new staff on system use.
- Network & Security: Ensure the stability and security of the clinic’s local area network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and internet connection. Implement data security, backup, and disaster recovery protocols in line with DOH data protection regulations.
- Hardware Management: Set up, configure, and maintain all IT equipment. Manage inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs or upgrades.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with DOH Abu Dhabi's data privacy and security standards (such as the Data Management Standard).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare EMR systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and explain technical issues in simple terms.
