CLIENT INTERVIEW: 8TH JANUARY 2026 IN DELHI KITCHEN HELPER
Position: Kitchen Helper
Department: Kitchen
Reports To: Head Cook / Kitchen Supervisor
Salary: 1400 SAR
Job Purpose:
To provide essential support to the kitchen operation by focusing on cleanliness, basic preparation, and maintenance tasks, ensuring the chefs and kitchen crew can work efficiently in a spotless and well-organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning & Sanitation:
- Wash, sanitize, and air-dry all cooking pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools.
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen work surfaces, shelves, walls, and floors throughout and at the end of each shift.
- Operate the commercial dishwasher, ensuring proper chemical levels and temperature.
- Empty and clean trash and recycling bins regularly, and dispose of waste properly.
- Basic Food Preparation Support:
- Perform fundamental prep tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling potatoes, sorting lettuce, and weighing/portioning basic ingredients.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen deliveries in the proper storage areas (dry, chill, freeze).
- Transfer supplies from storage to the kitchen work areas as requested.
- Equipment & Area Maintenance:
- Assist in the daily and weekly deep cleaning of kitchen equipment (e.g., degreasing fryers, cleaning oven interiors, emptying grease traps).
- Ensure the washing area is organized and supplies (soap, sanitizer, towels) are stocked.
- Help maintain the overall orderliness of the kitchen, including walk-in coolers and storage rooms.
- Support Duties:
- Provide immediate cleaning support to busy stations to prevent bottlenecks (e.g., washing used pans during a rush).
- Run simple errands within the kitchen and to storage areas.
- Follow all safety procedures, especially when handling cleaning chemicals and operating heavy equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
