Assistant Chef (Preferably Lebanese)
We are looking for a skilled Assistant Chef with a passion for authentic Lebanese cooking. You will play a key role in supporting our Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to maintaining our cherished recipes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation according to established recipes and standards.
- Help manage and guide the commis and kitchen helpers, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory ordering, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP) throughout the kitchen.
- Participate in menu development and the creation of daily specials.
- Ensure all dishes are presented correctly and go out in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Solid experience as an Assistant Chef, Demi Chef, or a senior line cook, preferably in a Lebanese or Middle Eastern restaurant.
- Comprehensive understanding of traditional Lebanese ingredients, spices, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Relevant culinary diploma or equivalent experience.
