Line Cook

Location: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands

Reports To: Sous Chef / Station Supervisor

Summary: The Line Cook is a crucial member of the kitchen brigade, responsible for the consistent and timely preparation of specific menu items on an assigned station. They must execute dishes with precision, speed, and attention to detail during high-pressure service periods.

Key Responsibilities:

Master all recipes, procedures, and plating presentations for a specific station (e.g., Grill, Sauté, Pantry, Fry).
Prepare and set up the station with all necessary mise en place before service.
Cook and plate menu items to order, following Chef's specifications exactly.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the station at all times.
Monitor food quality and freshness, reporting any issues to the Sous Chef.
Manage food stock and pars for the assigned station.
Work collaboratively with other Line Cooks and Expo to ensure smooth service flow.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures for handling equipment and food.
Assist with basic food prep and kitchen closing duties.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a line cook in a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
Solid understanding of classic cooking methods and safe food handling.
Ability to work efficiently and consistently during peak service hours.
Good communication skills and the ability to take direction.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
A desire to learn and grow within the culinary profession.
Must be legally eligible to work in Turks and Caicos Islands.
