Job Title: Operations / Maintenance Supervisor
Department: Operations / Facilities Management
Reports To: Operations Manager / Facilities Manager
Overall Purpose:
To oversee and coordinate the daily activities of technical and maintenance teams, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards, and in accordance with client contracts and company policies. The Supervisor is the frontline leader responsible for team performance, resource allocation, and on-site problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Management: Directly supervise a team of Skilled Technicians and other trades staff. Schedule daily and weekly workloads, assign tasks, and ensure adequate manning for shifts and call-outs.
- Work Coordination: Plan, prioritize, and assign preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective work orders. Ensure timely completion of tasks and update statuses in the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system.
- Quality & Compliance Inspection: Conduct quality assurance checks on completed work. Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, company standards, and statutory requirements.
- Technical Guidance: Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to technicians for complex fault-finding, repairs, and installations. Act as an escalation point for technical issues.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary on-site contact for the client’s representatives for day-to-day operational matters. Address service requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor team productivity, workmanship, and adherence to schedules. Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily activity reports, incident reports, and periodic performance summaries to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a relevant technical trade, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge in one or more trades (MEP, HVAC, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using CAFM systems and MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license and relevant trade certifications.
