Cost Estimator
Job Summary: The Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for FM works, including planned maintenance, retrofit projects, and reactive repair contracts. They analyze project specifications, quantify materials and labor, and prepare detailed bids to ensure profitability and value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential data for accurate estimating.
- Measure and quantify materials, equipment, and labor hours required for projects.
- Source and obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including direct costs, overheads, and profit margins.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to validate methodology and assumptions.
- Maintain a database of historical cost data, unit rates, and supplier quotes.
- Participate in bid review meetings and assist in the submission of final proposals.
