About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and detail-oriented Accountant specializing in Remittance & Foreign Exchange Operations to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be a certified professional (CA or ACCA) with proven expertise in managing complex financial transactions in a fast-paced, cross-border environment. This is a critical role ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our international financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Remittance Operations: Manage end-to-end processing of domestic and international wire transfers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Foreign Exchange Management: Execute and monitor foreign currency transactions, including spot and forward contracts. Manage exposure and optimize exchange rates.
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily, monthly, and annual reconciliation of remittance and forex accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure strict compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS). Prepare and submit all mandatory regulatory reports.
- Audit & Internal Controls: Maintain robust internal controls over financial transactions. Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve remittance and forex processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with banks, financial institutions, internal departments, and clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Financial Analysis: Provide analysis and insights on currency trends, transaction costs, and operational performance to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
- Mandatory Certification: Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on remittance processing and foreign exchange operations within a bank, financial institution, multinational corporation, or large trading company.
- Technical Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of UAE financial regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and international payment systems (SWIFT, etc.).
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
