The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and qualified Nursery Teacher to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for creating a warm, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children aged [e.g., 2-4 years] feel secure, valued, and excited to learn. This is a role for someone who finds joy in the "lightbulb" moments of early childhood and is committed to laying the strongest possible foundation for lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum & Learning:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic, age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, linguistic, and cognitive development.
- Implement the nursery’s curriculum and philosophy through purposeful play, sensory activities, storytelling, music, and arts.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's progress, maintaining individual learning journals and portfolios.
- Differentiate activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of all children.
- Care & Wellbeing:
- Provide a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment that supports children's wellbeing and confidence.
- Attend to children's basic care needs (feeding, toileting, rest time) with patience, respect, and dignity.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies that build self-regulation and empathy.
- Ensure all health, safety, and child protection policies are strictly adhered to.
- Partnership & Communication:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers through daily updates, regular progress meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team with fellow teachers, assistants, and the Nursery Manager.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, nursery events, and professional development opportunities.
Who We Are Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):
- Essential:
- A minimum of a Cache Level 3/5, Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
- Valid first aid and CPR certification.
- Proven experience as a Nursery/Early Years Teacher in a reputable setting.
- In-depth knowledge of child development theories and best practices for the 0-5 age group.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (English is essential; Arabic is a strong advantage).
- A warm, patient, and nurturing personality with boundless creativity and energy.
- Must meet all DHA (Dubai Health Authority) or KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) licensing requirements for an Early Years Teacher.
- Highly Desirable:
- Familiarity with the EYFS framework.
- Experience in a multicultural setting.
- Skills in music, art, or special educational needs (SEN) support.
