Engineering Manager
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the engineering discipline for the project, ensuring the technical integrity, buildability, and compliance of all designs. This role bridges the gap between the design consultant and the construction team, managing the design review process and providing technical assurance throughout the project lifecycle .
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Management: Manage and coordinate all design activities, including the review of design consultants' deliverables (reports, drawings, calculations) to ensure compliance with the client's requirements, statutory regulations, and international codes .
- Technical Assurance: Ensure the "buildability" of the proposed design and suitability of materials. Coordinate technical input from subject matter experts and manage the design review of hazard and risk logs .
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Coordinate engineering efforts between various disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) and with other departments like procurement and construction to resolve interface issues .
- Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase by reviewing contractor's construction drawings, responding to technical queries, and participating in site visits to resolve problems .
- Procurement Support: Assist the contracts department in pre-construction activities, including reviewing design documentation for tender packages and supporting the technical evaluation of bids .
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. A professional engineering license is required .
- Experience: Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, with significant exposure to design management on large-scale water projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and desalination plants .
- Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of hydraulic design, surge analysis, and large-diameter pipeline design. Proficient in relevant engineering software and CAD applications. Deep understanding of procurement methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build) .
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proactive, results-driven, and capable of mentoring junior team members .
