Planning Engineer
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose:
To develop, maintain, and monitor the detailed project schedule, providing critical analysis and reports to support data-driven decision-making. The Planning Engineer ensures that project activities are logically sequenced, resources are optimized, and potential delays are identified and mitigated early .
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Development: Prepare and update detailed Level 4 and Level 5 construction schedules using Primavera P6, integrating inputs from engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and record physical progress on site, comparing actual performance against the baseline schedule. Calculate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Planned vs. Actual % complete .
- Delay Analysis: Identify potential delays and critical path impacts. Perform "what-if" scenarios to assess the impact of changes and propose recovery schedules to bring the project back on track.
- Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for the project management team and the client, including S-curves, manpower histograms, and narrative reports highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation plans .
- Coordination: Collaborate closely with construction managers, engineers, and the contract administrator to ensure schedule data aligns with cost reporting and contractual milestones.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field .
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project planning and controls on large-scale infrastructure or water/wastewater projects .
- Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and earned value management (EVM). Advanced MS Excel skills .
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to see the "big picture" and its impact on the project schedule.
