QA/QC Leader
Job Title: QA/QC Leader (Water & Wastewater Projects)
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Job Summary:
The QA/QC Leader will be responsible for establishing and implementing the Project Quality Plan to ensure that all constructed works comply with contract requirements, approved drawings, and international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS). You will lead a team of inspectors and coordinate with the client’s quality representatives to achieve zero-defect project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management: Develop and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and method statements.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of civil, mechanical, and electrical QC inspectors.
- Inspection & Testing: Manage the review of material submittals and conduct site inspections at all stages (e.g., pipe laying, welding, hydrostatic testing, concrete pours, equipment installation).
- Document Control: Oversee the maintenance of all quality records, including MIRs, RFIs, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and test certificates. Ensure the project “as-built” quality dossier is complete.
- Auditing: Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with the Quality System.
- Coordination: Attend weekly quality meetings with the consultant and client. Manage the closure of all snags and punch list items.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical preferred).
- Certification: Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of QA/QC experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in KSA.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of welding procedures (ASME/API), coating standards, concrete technology, and testing methods.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software. Strong negotiation skills to resolve quality disputes.
