Job Title: CAD / GIS Operator
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Project Type: Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive drafting and geospatial support to the project team. The role involves creating and modifying detailed engineering drawings using CAD software and managing spatial data using GIS tools to support design, construction, and as-built record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- CAD Operations:
- Prepare, modify, and finalize detailed engineering drawings (plans, profiles, sections, details) for water networks, sewer networks, and associated structures based on sketches, specifications, and mark-ups from engineers.
- Manage drawing registers and ensure all revisions are controlled and updated according to project procedures.
- Produce high-quality presentation drawings for reports and stakeholder meetings.
- GIS Operations:
- Maintain and administer the project's Geographic Information System (GIS) database.
- Input, update, and manage attribute data for network assets (pipelines, manholes, valves, fittings) using ESRI software.
- Generate thematic maps, spatial analysis reports, and data sets to support engineering analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- Coordinate with the survey team to integrate field-collected GPS data and as-built information into the GIS.
- As-Built Documentation:
- Review red-line mark-ups from site inspectors and translate them into accurate as-built drawings and GIS data layers.
- Ensure the final as-built package accurately reflects the "as-constructed" conditions for handover to the client.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in GIS, Computer Aided Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–7 years of experience in a similar role on infrastructure projects in KSA.
- Technical Proficiency:
- CAD: Advanced skills in AutoCAD (Civil 3D is a strong advantage).
- GIS: Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
- Experience with GPS data collection and processing.
