The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for inspecting mechanical installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards. The role involves detailed inspections of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Monitoring
- Inspect HVAC ducting, chilled water piping, and ventilation systems
- Monitor plumbing installations including water supply and drainage systems
- Inspect firefighting systems such as sprinklers, pumps, and hose reels
- Verify pipe routing, insulation, and supports
Quality Control
- Ensure materials used are approved and compliant
- Check installation workmanship and alignment with specifications
- Raise inspection reports and NCRs when necessary
- Verify pressure testing and system flushing activities
Testing & Commissioning
- Witness functional testing of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Review commissioning procedures and documentation
- Ensure proper balancing of HVAC systems
Coordination
- Work closely with electrical and civil inspectors
- Coordinate with contractors for rectification works
- Maintain daily inspection logs
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of MEP inspection experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
- Familiarity with UAE authority standards
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
