Job Description: Fashion Designer
Overview:
A fashion designer creates original designs for garments and accessories, from concept to production. They research trends, sketch ideas, select fabrics, and oversee the creation of their designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands
- Develop design concepts and create sketches or digital illustrations
- Select fabrics, colors, patterns, and textures
- Create prototypes and oversee sample production
- Work closely with pattern makers, tailors, and manufacturers
- Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and industry events
- Modify designs based on feedback and production requirements
- Ensure designs meet quality standards and budget constraints
