Job Title: Tile Mason
Job Summary
The Tile Mason is responsible for installing tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The role requires precision, proper surface preparation, and a strong understanding of tiling techniques to ensure high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to determine tile layout and positioning.
- Cut and shape tiles using hand tools or power tools.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives or mortar.
- Lay tiles evenly on floors, walls, staircases, and other surfaces.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and leveling of tiles.
- Apply grout and sealants to finish tile installations.
- Repair or replace damaged or broken tiles.
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Maintain tools and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Follow safety procedures and site regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic education (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proven experience as a tile mason or similar role.
- Knowledge of different types of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite).
- Ability to use tiling tools and equipment.
- Good understanding of measurements and leveling techniques.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in demanding conditions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
