Job Title: Civil Procurement Engineer
Job Summary
A Civil Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and services required for civil engineering projects. The role ensures cost-effective procurement, timely delivery, and compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage procurement plans for civil construction projects
- Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and vendors
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
- Request and analyze quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize contracts
- Ensure materials meet project quality and technical standards
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and suppliers
- Track orders, deliveries, and inventory levels
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays
- Maintain procurement records, documentation, and reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Monitor market trends and pricing for construction materials
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in procurement within construction or civil projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and technical specifications
- Familiarity with contract management and vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software
- Good analytical and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
