Job Title: Steward
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Steward to support kitchen and service operations by maintaining cleanliness, organizing utensils, and assisting the culinary team. The ideal candidate ensures hygiene standards are met and contributes to the smooth functioning of the food service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas
- Wash dishes, glassware, pots, and pans using manual or machine methods
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, storage areas, and waste disposal zones
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food and cleaning supplies
- Dispose of garbage and manage recycling procedures
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
- Support inventory control by organizing supplies and reporting shortages
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift heavy items
- Teamwork and willingness to assist others
