Safety Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment – HSE)
Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and experienced Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. The Safety Engineer will identify hazards, enforce safety regulations, and promote a strong safety culture across construction, industrial, or operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify workplace hazards.
- Inspect work sites regularly to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Conduct safety training, inductions, and awareness programs for employees.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.
- Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety practices.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain safety records, documentation, and audit reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to improve safety performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred.
- Previous experience in HSE or safety engineering role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments.
