Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer – NPDI to join our Busbar Line of Business in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) projects from concept through product launch. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, supply chain, sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to defined scope and quality standards.
The ideal candidate should have experience managing product development projects within a manufacturing environment and possess strong project planning, communication, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
✅ Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to successfully execute new product development and sustaining engineering projects.
✅ Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
✅ Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to approved scope.
✅ Monitor project progress and take corrective actions when necessary.
✅ Manage project schedules and coordinate activities along the critical path.
✅ Track project performance using established KPIs and reporting systems.
NPDI Process Management
✅ Ensure compliance with the company's NPDI (New Product Development & Introduction) process.
✅ Facilitate stage-gate reviews and project approval milestones.
✅ Drive project execution through all phases of product development.
✅ Coordinate design, validation, manufacturing readiness, and product launch activities.
Risk Management
✅ Identify project risks, challenges, and potential roadblocks.
✅ Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
✅ Monitor risk status throughout the project lifecycle.
✅ Escalate critical issues and risks to management when required.
Stakeholder Communication
✅ Provide regular project status updates to management and project stakeholders.
✅ Prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
✅ Facilitate cross-functional meetings and drive decision-making processes.
✅ Ensure effective communication among internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
✅ Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and NPDI methodologies.
✅ Support implementation of best practices and lessons learned initiatives.
✅ Participate in continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
Requirements
Experience
✔️ 3–5 years of Project Management experience.
✔️ Experience managing New Product Development projects within a manufacturing environment.
✔️ Experience using Waterfall / Stage-Gate Project Management methodologies.
✔️ Experience in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
✔️ Experience in stakeholder communication and cross-functional team coordination.
✔️ Experience preparing project KPI reports and management dashboards.
✔️ Experience leading meetings and project review sessions.
✔️ Knowledge of project risk management and risk response planning.
✔️ Knowledge of Gantt Chart scheduling and project tracking techniques.
✔️ Experience with 3-phase power distribution systems or Busbar products will be an advantage.

Qualifications
🎓 Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
🎓 Project Management training preferred.
🎓 PMP knowledge is advantageous, but certification is not mandatory.
