Job Description – Personal Butler
Job Summary
The Personal Butler is responsible for providing personalized, discreet, and professional support to the employer and their household. This role involves managing daily household operations, coordinating staff and service providers, overseeing guest hospitality, handling personal errands, organizing travel and events, and ensuring the highest standards of service, confidentiality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Assistance
- Manage the employer's daily schedule and personal appointments.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and accommodations.
- Handle personal errands, shopping, and special requests.
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and travel preparations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all personal and business matters.
Household Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence.
- Ensure the home is maintained to exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Supervise household staff, including housekeepers, chefs, drivers, and maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and vendor services.
- Monitor household inventories and replenish supplies as needed.
Guest & Hospitality Services
- Welcome and attend to guests with professionalism and discretion.
- Serve meals, beverages, and refreshments when required.
- Coordinate private dinners, meetings, and social events.
- Ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained.
Wardrobe & Personal Care
- Manage wardrobe organization and clothing maintenance.
- Coordinate dry cleaning, tailoring, and garment care.
- Assist with wardrobe preparation for travel and events.
- Ensure personal items and valuables are properly maintained.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain household records, inventories, and expense reports.
- Process household purchases and manage petty cash where applicable.
- Coordinate deliveries, mail, and courier services.
- Liaise with external service providers and contractors.
Security & Confidentiality
- Ensure privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Monitor household access and coordinate with security personnel when necessary.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or hotel management qualifications are preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Butler, Personal Assistant, or in luxury hospitality.
- Experience working in private residences is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the role.
