Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to support the finance team with daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and record journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers and suppliers.
- Support payroll processing and expense reimbursement, as required.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide supporting documentation during audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
