Job Summary:
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment by performing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks in offices, commercial buildings, residential properties, or other facilities. The role ensures that all assigned areas are kept neat, organized, and presentable while adhering to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, kitchens, meeting rooms, hallways, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, windows, and equipment.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and restroom consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is stored properly after use.
- Follow company health, safety, and hygiene policies at all times.
- Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning tasks as required.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role is an advantage but not essential.
- Basic understanding of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
