Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of the retail store, achieving sales targets, delivering excellent customer service, and leading the store team to ensure efficient and profitable store performance. The role involves managing staff, inventory, visual merchandising, customer experience, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Plan staff schedules, monitor attendance, and allocate tasks effectively.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate sales team members.
- Ensure customers receive a high standard of service and a positive shopping experience.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, product availability, and stock accuracy.
- Manage stock receiving, transfers, returns, and loss prevention activities.
- Implement visual merchandising standards and ensure attractive product displays.
- Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities to improve store performance.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with regional managers and head office teams on business requirements.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and brand presentation.
- Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal sales activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years of retail experience, with experience in a supervisory or store management role.
- Experience in fashion, mother & baby, kids, lifestyle, or specialty retail is an advantage.
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing retail operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and retail processes.
