Job Summary
The Factory Production Manager plans, coordinates, and supervises all production activities to ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. They lead production teams, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily production operations.
- Develop production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor production output and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
- Supervise production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
- Implement and enforce workplace health and safety policies.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Analyze production data and prepare performance reports.
- Identify process improvements to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, quality assurance, engineering, and logistics teams.
- Manage production budgets and control operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of manufacturing or production experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is an advantage.
