Job Description: Waiter
Job Summary
We are looking for friendly, attentive, and customer-focused Waiters to provide excellent food and beverage service to guests. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus and provide information about food and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen or bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
- Respond to guest requests and provide appropriate assistance.
- Handle guest complaints politely and report issues to the Captain or Supervisor.
- Set up and clear tables efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of tables, dining areas, and service stations.
- Assist with billing and payment collection when required.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and restaurant service standards.
- Ensure all cutlery, glassware, crockery, and service equipment are properly maintained.
- Support the team during busy periods and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Waiter or in a hospitality role is an advantage.
- Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are welcome.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, polite, and professional personality.
- Good customer-service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
