Job Description: Biryani Plate Master

We are looking for a skilled and efficient Biryani Plate Master to handle the portioning, plating, garnishing, and presentation of biryani orders. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of portion control, food presentation, hygiene standards, and the ability to maintain consistency during busy service hours.

Prepare and plate biryani orders according to the restaurant’s standard portion and presentation.
Ensure each plate contains the correct quantity of biryani, meat, garnish, and accompaniments.
Maintain consistent taste, portion size, appearance, and presentation.
Check the quality and temperature of biryani before serving.
Coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, KOT Coordinators, Captains, and Waiters to ensure orders are completed on time.
Follow KOTs accurately and ensure special instructions are properly followed.
Prepare and arrange accompaniments such as raita, salad, pickle, chutney, boiled eggs, or other items as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plating and service area.
Ensure proper handling and storage of food ingredients and prepared items.
Monitor food levels and inform the chef or supervisor when replenishment is required.
Minimize food wastage through proper portion control.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Clean and sanitize utensils, work surfaces, and equipment regularly.
Assist the kitchen team with other food preparation duties when required.
Maintain speed and accuracy during peak dining hours.

Previous experience in biryani preparation, plating, or South Asian restaurant kitchens is preferred.
Good knowledge of biryani portioning and presentation.
Ability to work quickly and accurately during busy service periods.
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Strong attention to detail and consistency.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
