Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and manage projects from initiation through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project delivery, including planning, execution, cost, quality, safety, resources, stakeholder management, and timely completion in accordance with contractual and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of projects within approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery strategies.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities as applicable.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and take corrective action to address delays and deviations.
- Review project costs, budgets, cash flow, commitments, variations, and forecasts to maintain financial control.
- Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with the Planning Engineer/Project Controls team to monitor schedules, progress, productivity, and critical activities.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure required quality standards and inspection procedures are maintained.
- Manage client, consultant, contractor, and stakeholder relationships and serve as the primary project point of contact where applicable.
- Conduct regular project meetings and ensure timely follow-up and closure of action items.
- Review and approve project reports, method statements, schedules, procurement plans, and other project documentation as required.
- Manage project changes, variations, claims, and contractual matters in coordination with commercial and contracts teams.
- Monitor procurement and material delivery to ensure project requirements are met without affecting the schedule.
- Resolve technical, commercial, resource, and operational issues in coordination with the relevant departments.
- Ensure proper documentation, commissioning, testing, project closeout, and handover to the client.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
- Drive continuous improvement and implement lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager managing medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction/engineering processes, and project controls.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Good understanding of contracts, procurement, commercial management, and project risk management.
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools, including Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of HSE and quality-management requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in construction, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, MEP, oil & gas, or engineering projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple subcontractors.
- Experience with Primavera P6, project controls, cost management, and earned value concepts.
- Experience managing client and consultant relationships.
- Knowledge of contract administration, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an advantage.
