Project Manager – Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute projects from start to successful completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Develop detailed project schedules, work plans, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, production, finance, HSE, quality, and other departments.
- Manage project resources, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, and milestones.
- Identify project risks, delays, and potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and agreed timelines.
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, BOQs, and technical documentation where applicable.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project meetings and ensure effective communication among project teams.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure all project activities comply with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and financial performance.
- Review and approve project documentation and progress reports.
- Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and clients.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs through appropriate approval processes.
- Resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues in coordination with relevant teams.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of critical materials and equipment.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
- Maintain proper project records, correspondence, reports, and documentation.
- Lead, motivate, and manage project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure lessons learned are documented and applied to future projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in construction, engineering, EPC, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
- Proven experience managing projects from planning through completion.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, risk management, and project documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of HSE and quality requirements.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an advantage.
