Job Summary
We are seeking a Cost Control Engineer to monitor project costs, budgets, expenditures, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets and actual expenditures.
- Track material, labor, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts.
- Analyze cost variations and identify potential overruns.
- Maintain cost-control databases and records.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, planning, and finance departments.
- Review project invoices, commitments, and cost-related documentation.
- Support management in implementing cost-saving measures.
- Assist with monthly project financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience in construction or contracting cost control.
- Good understanding of project costing and budget management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant cost-control software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
