Position Summary:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the daily operations and overall success of a specific restaurant outlet. With a requirement for Arabic language proficiency, this role is crucial for connecting with a key clientele, understanding cultural nuances, and delivering an authentic and exceptional dining experience. The Manager will lead the service team, manage financial performance, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, service, and ambiance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations & Service Excellence:
- Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure service standards are meticulously followed and that guests receive attentive, personalized service.
- Greet guests, particularly VIPs and regular patrons, and build strong rapport, utilizing Arabic language skills to enhance the guest experience.
- Manage table reservations and seating arrangements to optimize turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise all restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Schedule staff effectively based on forecasted business levels.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and provide ongoing coaching on menu knowledge, service techniques, and upselling.
- Financial Performance:
- Achieve or exceed the restaurant's financial targets, including revenue, average check, and cost of sales.
- Manage labor and operational costs within the established budget.
- Implement and monitor effective upselling strategies to enhance revenue.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and set-up standards are met.
- Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a food & beverage service role, with at least 2 years in a restaurant management capacity.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern customs and guest preferences is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L statements.
