Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Resort Manager/General Manager to provide overall strategic leadership and operational excellence for our prestigious resort. You will be responsible for the entire property's P&L, driving exceptional guest satisfaction, cultivating a world-class team culture, and ensuring the resort's financial and reputational success in a competitive international market. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance luxury standards with profitable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the resort's annual business plan, budget, and long-term strategy. Identify market opportunities and set goals for revenue, profitability, and quality.
- Financial Performance: Hold full responsibility for the resort's Profit & Loss statement. Analyze financial reports, control costs, and implement strategies to maximize revenue across all departments (Rooms, F&B, Spa, etc.).
- Guest Experience: Uphold and elevate the resort's service standards to ensure consistently exceptional guest experiences. Proactively address guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all daily operations including Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Spa, Recreation, Maintenance, and Security. Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and quality standards.
- Team Development & Culture: Lead, mentor, and motivate a large, diverse team of department heads and staff. Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture. Oversee recruitment, training, and development programs.
- Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and partnerships to drive occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
- Owner & Stakeholder Relations: Prepare and present detailed reports to ownership/investors. Build strong relationships with local community leaders, government officials, and key suppliers.
- Brand Standards: Ensure the resort consistently adheres to or exceeds brand standards (if applicable) and all relevant legal/regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hotels/resorts, with at least 5 years as a General Manager or Resort Manager.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar P&L statements and driving financial growth.
- Strong international business acumen and cultural sensitivity.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
