Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all our projects and products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting audits, and overseeing the entire quality assurance process from procurement to project completion. You will play a critical role in preventing defects, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining our company's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and project specifications.
- Prepare and manage all QA/QC documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Quality Procedures, and Audit Reports.
- Conduct regular internal and external audits of processes, systems, and suppliers to ensure compliance.
- Oversee and coordinate the inspection and testing of materials, equipment, and workmanship at various stages of the project.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies for material approvals and inspection requests.
- Identify, document, and track non-conformities (NCRs); initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their implementation.
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors and suppliers from a quality perspective.
- Provide quality training and awareness to project staff and workforce.
- Review and approve material submittals, technical submittals, and shop drawings for quality requirements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports for management review.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction or manufacturing industry, preferably in the UAE.
- Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, international codes, and standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ASME).
- Certified Lead Auditor training (ISO 9001) is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of quality control procedures, testing methodologies, and construction techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
