Senior Barista
Salary Range: AED 3,500 – 4,000
Job Summary:
The Senior Barista is a leadership role within the coffee station, requiring a high level of expertise and responsibility. You will not only craft exceptional beverages but also train junior baristas, manage inventory, and ensure the highest standards of quality and service are consistently met. You will act as a coffee ambassador for the establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expert Beverage Crafting: Demonstrate expert-level skill in preparing all coffee beverages, consistently achieving perfect extraction and milk texturing. Handle complex orders with ease during the busiest periods.
- Team Leadership & Training: Train, mentor, and supervise junior Baristas and Commis Baristas, ensuring they adhere to recipes and service standards. Lead by example.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular tastings to ensure all coffee served meets the established quality and flavor profile. Calibrate grinders and machines throughout the day.
- Inventory & Ordering: Take primary responsibility for inventory management of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other bar supplies. Place orders and manage stock rotation.
- Menu Development: Contribute to the development of seasonal and specialty coffee menus. Introduce new brewing methods and techniques to the team.
- Customer Service Excellence: Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction. Build rapport with regular guests.
- Opening/Closing Procedures: Oversee the opening and closing procedures of the coffee station, ensuring all tasks are completed correctly.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience as a Barista, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior role.
- Extensive knowledge of coffee origins, roasting, and brewing methods.
- Demonstrated ability to train and lead a team.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and schedules.
- A true passion for coffee and a desire to share that knowledge with others.
