Job Description: HR Generalist (Specializing in Technical Recruitment)

About the Role
We are seeking a versatile and strategic HR Generalist with a deep specialization in technical recruitment to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in building our engineering and tech capabilities by sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent (e.g., Software Engineers, DevOps, Data Scientists, IT Specialists). Beyond recruitment, you will own and manage a full spectrum of HR functions, acting as a true partner to our technology departments. The ideal candidate is someone who speaks the language of tech, understands the talent landscape, and thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus - ~60%):
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for a wide range of technical roles, from sourcing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates (utilizing GitHub, Stack Overflow, tech communities, niche job boards, and advanced LinkedIn techniques).
- Partner closely with Engineering Managers, CTO, and tech leads to deeply understand team needs, role requirements, and team dynamics.
- Screen and assess candidates for technical competencies, cultural fit, and growth potential. Conduct effective technical phone screens and coordinate technical assessments.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of technical talent for current and future needs.
- Continuously improve the candidate experience, ensuring it reflects our company's values and tech brand.
- Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment metrics for tech roles.
2. HR Generalist Duties:
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers in assigned departments, guiding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes: onboarding, performance management cycles, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
- Support employee relations, fostering a positive work environment, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, retention strategies, learning & development).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.
- Support compensation benchmarking and analysis, especially for tech roles, to ensure competitive offers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on full-cycle technical recruitment in a fast-paced environment (tech startup, scale-up, or tech-focused company is a strong plus).
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in sourcing, engaging, and hiring high-demand tech profiles (backend/frontend engineers, etc.) in a competitive market.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and discuss fundamental technical concepts, tech stacks, and roles. You don't need to code, but you need to grasp what makes a candidate qualified.
- HR Knowledge: Solid understanding of core HR functions, employment law, and compliance.
- Tools Proficiency: Expertise with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools. Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Gusto, Namely).
- Skills:
