About the Role
With Black Fortune expanding rapidly across Bahrain, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Department Supervisor to oversee a specific department within our new retail stores. The ideal candidate will ensure excellent customer service, maintain visual standards, and support the team in achieving departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
Department Operations
- Oversee day-to-day activities within the assigned department
- Ensure product availability, stock rotation, and proper display standards
- Maintain store visual merchandising guidelines
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment
Team Support
- Supervise sales staff within the department
- Assist in training new team members and guiding existing staff
- Provide performance feedback and motivate the team
- Help manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle escalated inquiries
- Assist customers with product selection and styling advice (fashion brands)
- Ensure a smooth and pleasant shopping experience
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
Sales & Performance
- Support the store in achieving sales targets and KPIs
- Track department performance and suggest improvements
- Promote upselling, cross-selling, and loyalty programs
- Maintain accurate cash handling when required
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operational procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department environment
- Support inventory audits and stock checks
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years experience in retail, preferably in fashion/lifestyle brands
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience is an advantage
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock control, and retail operations
- Ability to lead a small team and motivate staff
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Energetic, positive, and passionate about retail
