The Opportunity:
We are seeking dedicated and energetic Waiters to join our elite banquet and dispatch team. In this dual-role position, you will be crucial in both the flawless execution of live events and the efficient preparation and dispatch of orders. Key Responsibilities:
A. Banquet Service:
- Provide exceptional, polite, and attentive table service to guests during events.
- Serve food and beverages according to established standards of etiquette.
- Set up banquet rooms: arranging tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and decorations.
- Clear tables efficiently and reset them for subsequent courses or events.
- Assist with guest inquiries and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Work seamlessly as part of a large service team under the direction of a captain or supervisor.
B. Food Dispatch & Logistics:
- Accurately prepare, pack, and check outgoing catering orders against delivery notes.
- Ensure all items for dispatch (hot boxes, chafing dishes, utensils, condiments) are complete, secure, and meet quality standards.
- Maintain the dispatch area in a clean, organized, and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and drivers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Assist in loading and unloading catering vehicles.
C. General Duties:
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
- Handle equipment and chinaware with care.
- Perform closing duties, including cleaning and storage of service items.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Waiter, Steward, or in a similar role in catering, hotels, or banquet halls.
- Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays or equipment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Responsible, punctual, and hardworking with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety principles is a plus.
- Candidates must be residing in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate. Visa status will be discussed during the interview.
