Radiology Technician
Job Title: Radiology Technician (Radiologic Technologist) - Abu Dhabi

Reports To: Chief Radiographer / Radiology Manager
Job Overview:
A Radiology Technician operates imaging equipment to produce diagnostic X-rays, CT scans, or mammograms of patients' internal structures for the diagnosis of medical issues. They ensure patient safety by minimizing radiation exposure and adhering to strict protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Position patients correctly and use immobilization devices to obtain high-quality images.
- Adjust and operate imaging equipment, ensuring proper technical settings (KVp, mAs).
- Strictly follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, self, and colleagues (ALARA principle).
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure they meet diagnostic requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and logs of procedures performed.
- Prepare and administer contrast media orally or intravenously as required.
- Provide clear instructions and emotional support to patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and report malfunctions.
- Adhere to infection control policies for equipment and procedure rooms.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or Medical Imaging.
- Valid DHA/DoH/HAAD license as a Radiographer.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent is highly regarded.
- Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift or move patients when necessary.
