Job Description: HR Assistant
Position Overview:
You will be the cornerstone of our HR operations in Qatar, providing vital administrative and coordination support. You will ensure the smooth running of HR processes, from recruitment to employee records, and act as a first point of contact for staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in posting job advertisements on various platforms.
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews for hiring managers.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires (prepare offer letters, contracts, and welcome kits).
- Facilitate new employee orientations and ensure a seamless first-day experience.
- HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both digital and physical files) in compliance with Qatar Labor Law.
- Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, NOCs, and experience certificates.
- Assist with the management of employee attendance, leaves, and timesheets.
- Support the processing of payroll changes and benefits administration.
- Employee Relations & Support:
- Serve as a helpful first point of contact for employee HR queries.
- Support HR initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and company culture.
- Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and meetings.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Assist in ensuring all HR practices adhere to Qatar's legal and regulatory requirements.
- Help prepare regular HR reports on metrics like headcount, turnover, and recruitment status.
- Support with visa processing, renewals, and other government-related paperwork for employees.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar administrative role, preferably within Qatar or the GCC region.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Qatar Labor Law and standard HR practices is a significant advantage.
- Language: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a strong plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR software/systems.
