Job Summary:
Senior QC Engineer - Civil required for major infrastructure projects. The role involves ensuring the highest quality standards for all civil, structural, and earthworks activities, including utilities, roads, grading, and drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute quality control for all civil works: soil investigation, excavation, backfilling, compaction, concreting, masonry, and utility installation.
- Review geotechnical reports and ensure earthworks comply with compaction and density specifications.
- Oversight of batching plants, concrete pouring, curing, and testing (slump, cubes, cylinders).
- Inspect civil materials (aggregate, sand, cement, rebars, PVC/HDPE pipes) and approve their use.
- Manage the quality of roadworks (sub-base, base, asphalt), drainage, and underground utilities.
- Issue and follow up on NCRs, Site Observation Reports, and Monitor’s Action Reports.
- Prepare and compile Method Statements, ITPs, and final quality documentation for handover.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years in QC roles on large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., industrial plants, utilities, earthworks).
- Certifications in soil compaction/testing, concrete technology, or ISO 9001 QMS lead auditing are highly desirable.
- Proficient in relevant standards (ACI, ASTM, AASHTO) and local authority regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of surveying and setting-out principles.
- Strong leadership and client interfacing skills.
