Job Summary:
The QC Inspector - Civil will focus on inspecting earthworks, grading, compaction, and related civil activities, ensuring they meet geotechnical and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect excavation, backfilling, and compaction activities for foundations, trenches, and general site grading.
- Perform field density tests (Sand Cone, Nuclear Gauge) and review lab proctor test results.
- Inspect subgrade and sub-base layers for roadwork and paving.
- Monitor dewatering activities and trench stability.
- Check materials like select fill and granular sub-base for compliance.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and coordinate with surveyors for level checks.
- Identify and report any non-conforming earthworks or unsafe conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of specific experience in earthworks and civil inspection.
- Certification in soil testing/compaction is highly preferred.
- Must have experience and approval for working on KOC projects.
- Practical knowledge of earthmoving equipment and techniques.
