Job Summary:
The QC Assistant provides crucial support to the QC department by managing all quality documentation, records, and certifications, ensuring they are systematically controlled, updated, and readily available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the master document register for all quality records (ITPs, reports, certificates, NCRs).
- Receive, log, distribute, and file all incoming and outgoing quality documents.
- Assist QC engineers/inspectors in preparing reports, compiling test packs, and final quality dossiers.
- Track the status of material certifications, calibration certificates, and personnel qualifications.
- Coordinate the issuance and closure of NCRs and other quality forms.
- Ensure all documents are properly numbered, version-controlled, and archived as per project requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the QC team as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a document control role, preferably within a construction or Oil & Gas project QC department.
- Highly skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel), Adobe PDF, and document management systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001) is a plus.
