Position: Kitchen Crew
Department: Kitchen / Food Production
Reports To: Head Cook / Kitchen Supervisor
Salary: 1400 SAR
Job Purpose:
To prepare, cook, and present food items according to established recipes, quality standards, and speed of service guidelines. The Kitchen Crew is essential for the efficient and hygienic operation of the kitchen's core production line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, peeling, and marinating as directed.
- Cook food items using various methods (grilling, frying, boiling, baking) according to standardized recipes and portion controls.
- Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and responsibly (e.g., grills, fryers, ovens, slicers).
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct internal temperature and is visually appealing.
- Coordinate with other crew members to ensure timely preparation of orders.
- Station Management:
- Set up, stock, and maintain a specific assigned station (e.g., grill, salad, fry, sandwich) with all necessary products and equipment.
- Ensure that food is prepared in advance ("mise en place") to support efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor product levels at the station and communicate restocking needs to supervisors.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards (HACCP principles).
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and dating of all food items to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination.
- Monitor food quality throughout the shift, discarding items that do not meet standards.
- Keep the work area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized at all times.
- Teamwork & Support:
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
- Support other kitchen stations during rushes to ensure smooth service.
- Follow instructions from supervisors promptly and effectively.
- Participate in end-of-shift cleaning, including equipment breakdown, floor mopping, and waste disposal.
