Network Security Engineer
Job Purpose:
To design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure to protect the organization from internal and external threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage network security devices (firewalls, VPNs, proxies, WAF).
- Configure and monitor network intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Implement and manage network access control (NAC) solutions.
- Perform security reviews of network architecture and recommend enhancements.
- Respond to network security incidents and conduct troubleshooting.
- Ensure secure configuration and hardening of network devices.
- Collaborate on disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network security.
- Certifications: CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud network security (AWS, Azure) is preferred.
