About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Document Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, organizing, and ensuring the integrity of all project documentation in strict compliance with established procedures, particularly those mandated by Ashghal. This role is critical to the smooth operation and successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain, and control the company's document management system for all project-related documents (drawings, correspondence, submittals, reports, etc.).
- Ensure all documentation complies with Ashghal's Public Document and Libraries Management (PDLM) system and Computerized Tracking System (CTS) requirements.
- Receive, register, log, track, and distribute all incoming and outgoing project documents and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records and archives, ensuring easy retrieval and version control.
- Prepare and submit document transmittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other formal communications through the approved channels.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely flow of documentation.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure document quality, completeness, and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of project close-out documentation and as-built drawings.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Document Controller in the construction or infrastructure sector in Qatar.
- Ashghal Systems Proficiency: Must have proven hands-on experience with Ashghal's PDLM (Public Document and Libraries Management) and CTS (Computerized Tracking System). This is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Residency Status: Candidates must be currently residing in Qatar with a valid QID (Qatar ID).
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of document control procedures and standards.
- High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software.
- Strong organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
