Operations Manager (Healthcare)

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the daily operations of our healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in healthcare management, particularly within long-term care settings. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of patient care while driving efficiency and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Management:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all non-clinical operations of the facility, ensuring seamless daily functioning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Oversee facility management, including maintenance, supply chain, procurement, housekeeping, security, and dietary services.
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
Clinical Operations Support:
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing and medical leadership to support clinical operations and ensure a integrated care environment.
- Streamline processes that interface between clinical and non-clinical departments (e.g., admissions, patient flow, medical records).
Compliance & Regulations:
- Ensure full compliance with all UAE and Abu Dhabi healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements (e.g., DOH, DHA, JCI, CBAHI).
- Lead preparations for and manage all regulatory inspections and audits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws, facility licensing, and health and safety codes.
Performance & Data Analysis:
- Utilize data analysis to interpret operational metrics, identify trends, and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Prepare detailed reports and performance dashboards for senior management.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives based on data insights.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary operations team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
Strategic Planning & Communication:
- Develop and present compelling business cases, operational reviews, and strategic plans using advanced PowerPoint and MS Office skills.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, staff, patients, and families.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MHA, MBA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive operations management experience within the healthcare sector.
- Essential: Proven experience handling hospital operations.
- Highly Preferred: Direct experience in Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, or Geriatric care facilities.
- In-depth, current knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi healthcare facility regulations and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and financial oversight.
