FM Engineer (Hard Services)
Job Summary: The FM Engineer is a technically qualified professional responsible for the operational integrity, maintenance, and repair of building systems and infrastructure, with a primary focus on Hard Services (M&E). They ensure all electro-mechanical plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Lifts, BMS).
- Diagnose complex faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective repairs.
- Manage technical service contracts with third-party vendors and specialists.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, Pressure Systems).
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and asset condition reports.
- Develop and manage energy efficiency initiatives to reduce operational costs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and supervisors.
- Respond to and manage critical breakdowns and emergency repairs.
