About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join a reputed client in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of street lighting and electrical infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on project experience, and familiarity with Dubai’s local authority regulations and approval processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee the installation of street lighting systems, cabling, earthing, and feeder pillars.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for road and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with local authorities (such as DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality) for approvals, inspections, and compliance.
- Supervise on-site installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, drawings, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to street lighting and electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 5–8 years of proven UAE experience in street lighting and infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of lighting systems, cabling, earthing, and feeder pillars.
- Hands-on experience in testing and commissioning.
- Familiarity with local authority standards, approvals, and site inspection procedures.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in road and infrastructure projects is essential.
- License: Valid UAE Driving License is required.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
