General Requirements for All Positions
A valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license or DHA eligibility letter is mandatory for all medical/nursing roles.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the relevant field is required.
EMT Paramedic (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic)
Core Function: To provide the highest level of emergency pre-hospital medical care to acutely ill or injured patients, responding to emergency calls and transporting patients to medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses patients' conditions at emergency scenes and formulates a treatment plan.
- Performs advanced interventions: cardiac monitoring (ECG interpretation), defibrillation, endotracheal intubation, IV fluid and medication administration, and management of traumatic injuries.
- Operates complex emergency equipment such as defibrillators, ventilators, and infusion pumps.
- Communicates effectively with patients, bystanders, and healthcare professionals via radio.
- Drives and manages the ambulance unit.
- Documents all care provided in a patient care report (PCR).
- Provides compassionate reassurance and care in high-stress, unpredictable environments.
Work Environment: Ambulance services (public and private), fire departments, hospitals (as part of a response team), and industrial settings. Work involves shift work, physical strain, and exposure to extreme conditions.
Typical Requirements: Completion of an intensive, accredited paramedic training program (typically 1-2 years beyond the EMT-Basic level). Must obtain state licensure/certification and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic credential.
