General Requirements for All Positions
A valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license or DHA eligibility letter is mandatory for all medical/nursing roles.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in the relevant field is required.
Laser Technician (Medical Aesthetic/Cosmetic Laser Technician)
Core Function: To safely and effectively operate laser and light-based equipment for cosmetic and dermatological treatments under the supervision of a physician or licensed practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts thorough patient consultations to review medical history, skin type, and treatment goals.
- Performs laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, and treatments for pigmentation or vascular lesions.
- Applies precise laser parameters (wavelength, pulse duration, energy) based on the provider's prescription and patient's characteristics.
- Ensures strict safety protocols, including the use of appropriate eye protection for both patient and technician.
- Provides pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients.
- Maintains and calibrates laser equipment according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Manages clinical documentation and treatment records.
Work Environment: Medical spas, dermatology clinics, plastic surgery centers, and some specialized wellness facilities. Focus is on client care in a clinical aesthetic setting.
Typical Requirements: State requirements vary widely; most require completion of an approved laser technician certification program. Many states mandate direct physician supervision. Strong knowledge of skin anatomy and laser physics is essential.
