IT / Software Engineer (LISEC & Engineering Systems Support)

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in UAE/GCC, with direct experience in engineering software support and integration.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and UAE-experienced IT/Software Engineer to provide specialized technical analysis, support, and enhancement for our LISEC software suite and integrated IT support systems. The ideal candidate will act as a crucial bridge between our engineering estimation/production processes and IT solutions. Your primary mission will be to improve accuracy, efficiency, and data management across all projects by optimizing, customizing, and maintaining our core engineering and business software platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. LISEC Software Expertise & Support:
- Serve as the primary technical expert and administrator for the LISEC software ecosystem (used for glass cutting, optimization, and production management).
- Provide advanced user support, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure minimal downtime for production-critical systems.
- Analyze and configure LISEC modules to align with evolving engineering and manufacturing requirements.
- Manage software updates, patches, and coordinate with LISEC or third-party vendors when necessary.
2. Engineering-IT Process Bridging:
- Collaborate closely with engineering, estimation, and production teams to understand their workflows, data needs, and pain points.
- Translate engineering requirements into functional IT specifications and software solutions.
- Design and implement tools, scripts, and integrations that automate data flow between estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, specialized calculation tools) and core business systems (ERP, MES, CRM).
3. System Development & Integration:
- Develop, customize, and maintain applications, databases, and interfaces that enhance project data management.
- Integrate disparate systems (LISEC, ERP like SAP or Oracle, BI tools) to create a seamless data pipeline from estimation to project completion.
- Improve data accuracy and real-time reporting capabilities for project tracking, material usage, and cost analysis.
4. IT Infrastructure & General Support:
- Provide general IT support for related hardware and software systems used by the engineering and production departments.
- Ensure the stability and security of servers, databases, and networks supporting critical engineering applications.
- Document system architectures, configurations, and procedures.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology for process improvement in estimation accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies relevant to manufacturing IT, engineering software, and Industry 4.0 trends.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A background or strong experience working with engineering/industrial processes is a major advantage.
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years within the UAE/GCC region, understanding local business practices and IT environments.
- Hands-on experience with LISEC software is highly preferred. Candidates with experience in similar CAD/CAM, production planning, or glass/panel optimization software will be strongly considered.
- Strong programming skills for integration and automation (e.g., Python, C#, .NET, Java, SQL).
- Solid experience with database management (SQL Server, Oracle), API integration, and middleware.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex engineering and business processes.
- Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus), with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in the glass, aluminum, façade, or construction materials manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion) and their integration with production software.
- Understanding of networking and server infrastructure supporting industrial applications.
- Project management or business analysis skills.
